Bark Lounge Chair

De bark lounge chair is geïnspireerd op natuurlijke vormgeving en
materialen. De schaal van de zetel wordt geproduceerd uit Arboform, een
biologisch afbreekbare kunststof die bestaat uit houtmeel, lignine en
PLA. Het is een soort vloeibaar hout.
Ook op vlak van de vormgeving komt de inspiratie uit de natuur:
de buitenzijde van de zetel heeft een boomschorsstructuur en de poten
hebben een abstractie van de vorm van takken. De boodschap die de
ontwerper met deze stoel wil meegeven is dat de natuur en industriële
vooruitgang gecombineerd kunnen worden als je de natuurlijke bronnen
respecteert en op een verstandige, innovatieve wijze gebruikt.
Het prototype dat te zien is op de foto is geproduceerd uit
acrillic one, een kunststof op waterbasis en een alternatief voor
polyester. Bij productie uit Arboform kunnen ook de poten in eenzelfde
materiaal gemaakt worden, zodat de stoel in zijn geheel biologisch
afbreekbaar is.
