Een lamp die opengaat als een mooie bloem wanneer het energieverbruik in een gezin een tijd lang laag geweest is, of een klok waarop het energieverbruik van een volledig huisgezin in real time wordt weergegeven, of een gordijn dat licht op kan slaan voor later op de avond - dit zijn slechts enkele voorbeelden van prototypes die worden getoond in de 'Visual Voltage' tentoonstelling.

Deze Zweedse reizende tentoonstelling houdt na Shangai en Washington DC nu ook halt in Brussel en toont een aantal designobjecten die aansporen tot duurzaamheid. Zoals de titel al doet vermoeden, wordt via design energie zichtbaar gemaakt, een eerste stap in het bewustwordingsproces dat kan leiden tot een energiebewuster leven.

Wanneer?
Van 11 september tot 25 oktober 2009 (di-vr 11-18 uur, za-zo 13-17 uur). Vernissage: 10/09 om 18u.

My family didn't travel much. Biggest trips of my childhood were before I started school. My mother worked everyday in her beauty parlor that was in the storefront of our house. My father, who didn't want a job, was stuck with me and dragged me seven days a week to various racetracks within driving distance of Buffalo. Lots of traveling. And boy, was it fun.
